The Merchant Registry is issued by the Department of the Treasury . This certificate identifies a person or entity as a merchant and is necessary to legally conduct business activities on the island.

Merchant registration is also required for all persons who work for services rendered. Without merchant registration, you will not be able to qualify for the work credit on the state payroll.
